Oud & Frankincense Handwash – Review

Imperial Leather’s Oud & Frankincense is the latest scented hand wash that I wanted to try and I'm all for all for it. Here’s why…..

Oud & Frankincense Handwash Review

I'm extremely Oud positive. And I also wash my hands regularly (and for all of those saying “duh, doesn’t everyone” – you’ve clearly not been in the gents toilets, or have too high an opinion of people). Hand washing needn’t be boring. Or something you do without care.

While I do love the smell of medicinal style hand washes, naturally – and unashamedly – I do gravitate towards hand washes which sound like they smell amazing.

Oud and Frankincense instantly sounded like a bit of me when I discovered it. And jumping straight in, do I like it? HELL YEAH.

It gives off a dark, clean aroma which could be a bit much for some, but I love it. The mix of oud (or a synthetic substitute) and the frankincense provides warmth, depth and spiciness. Given that most hand washes I buy usually provide a fruity, zesty experience, it is nice to have something that feels darker, stronger and less in your face like an over-enthusiastic fundraiser.]

While the £2 price mark did put me off a bit (I could get two standard bottles of hand wash for that price, or perhaps 4, if I really wanted to stretch my money), the long lasting scent on my hands makes it all worth it.

All in all, a sensual, rich, aromatic scent that invites itself to relax on my hands rather than linger like a confused after-thought. I'm not sure if it’s going to stick around or be another great limited edition, but while I can, I’ll be grabbing more.
