Mercedes Benz Club EDT
Following my love of the now discontinued Mercedes Benz Club Extreme, I purchased MBC EDT in a desperate hope that it could put my longing at bay. Rated highly as an underrated gem, I wanted to see if this could make me forget the Extreme version and remind me that originals are sometimes left best as they are.

Mercedes Benz Club EDT Review
Mercedes Benz Club Extreme this is not. I found myself more desperate than sensical when I purchased this, refusing to listen to anyone around me who advised the previous bottle I had was discontinued.
MBC EDT was a more expensive purchase than the Extreme version, but sadly smells cheaper and a lot more synthetic. While, to my surprise, I have received compliments - it’s one that unfortunately gives me a headache.
Despite being a fairly generic scent with good potential, something about it feels cloying and sickly. A shame really as I do see where the makers were going with this, but it falls short with me. It’s rare I get headaches from colognes, but this one is a banger in the unfortunate sense.
I like rhubarb in fragrances, as there’s a freshness to it which feels a bit more rebellious than the standard you get with lemon/mandarin/bergamot etc. With MBC EDT I wish I was able to enjoy it more, but all I get is synthetic overload. To its credit (and to my downfall), projection is a beast for the price you pay.
My verdict:
'I sought to find another MBC Extreme and I should have done just that and paid premium for it. MBC EDT performs well and will likely be a crowd pleaser for most, but is by no means in the same league as MBC Extreme for me’
