An inside look at some of my oldest pieces
I have subscribed to an influx of too many clothes/accessories and I am trying to learn from my mistakes. Here I wanted to showcase a small snapshot of the older pieces I own with plenty of life left in them.
Adidas Hi-Top. Throwback from roughly 2014. By no means my oldest pair of footwear, but certainly a pair I've worn and re-worn many a time. I don't plan on getting rid any time soon.
Suede trilby / Topman: it's been used, abused and worn to the max. It's also one of my longest lasting bits of headwear. The original feathers have flown the nest. Additional revamps have also fallen like a leaf in autumn. It's been out in rain when it shouldn't have been. Fits so snug against my head like no other trilby ever has. Been with me since around 2009 or 2010. Survived, even if Topman did not.
Red 501 cardigan / Levi's: I all but forgot I had this until I found it a few years ago in a heap of old clothes that I needed to sort through. This was bought for me as a kid, probably back in 2003 or 2004. Thankfully still in tact and better fitting now than it obviously was back then. Timeless and classic.
Skull bracelet / Links of London: 12 years old. Given as a present. Adopted by my partner for several years. Re-adopted by me. For skull lovers, this is a great piece. I've always loved it - even if it was simply admiring it on the wrist of my partner for years. Effortlessly edgy. One for the ages.
Navy Engineered Denim Jacket / Levi's: As with the cardi above, this was purchased back in 2004 when I could barely rock it. But that was my thing back then, buying the big bad adult stuff... so I could look like a child, rocking adult stuff. Trust me, it sounded cooler in my head back then. It's not one I've worn in many many years, and the marks on it show the lack of love. But I reckon I could easily give it a comeback.
