Homme by Aaron Terence Huges Review
I bought this after my curiosity was teased watching a review by Curly Fragrance. Given her initial review was very low and the dry down review shot up very high, I wanted to see why. Homme reminds me of the smell of pencil shavings, but done in a way which has managed to make this smell both mysterious and sexy. Trust me, I never expected myself to say that. Ever.
But it's true. Unlike Curly Fragrance, I could smell Homme instantly. It toyed with my senses as on one hand, it took me back to days of hogging the giant pencil sharpener as a kid. On another hand, this had a very grown up appeal to it. Rugged yet understated. Dirty but sophisticated. An evening scent, which can easily be applied with fewer sprays.
2 or 3 sprays works well for my skin, with the lasting power easily outperforming some of my more expensive fragrances. On that note, Homme isn't exactly cheap, with 10ml coming in at £21.00 and 50ml at £105. However, given that I use so few sprays and reserve this for creating a particular mood, it has been worth the money.
My verdict:
'A moody, earthy, evening fragrance that clings to the skin and somehow makes the smell of way too many pencil shavings sexy'.
