Daddy by Aaron Terence Hughes: Review

Who's your Daddy? That is the question. And the House of Aaron Terence Hughes (ATH) appears to have an answer, but is it a good one or does it need to do one?

The name might be laughable in a playful way, but on first spray, I knew the scent was not. Daddy is a perfect date night or I-want-to-smell-good fragrance. Clean, sophisticated and blended with a care that all who follow and appreciate Aaron Terence Hughes know only too well. 

I personally loved this the second I hit the atomiser. Sweet, spicy, sexy - this is one I reserve for a special occasion or simply for when I just want to smell damn good. Bizarelly, while I do like it as a special occasion fragrance, if I used it as a casual fragrance, I'd hate it.

While I prefer to keep this one for limited use, it has the appeal to be used as an everyday fragrance too. Sauvage is similiar to this degree. But, like Sauvage, I'd find it cloying and I'd probably be bored of it after 5 days of use.

For me, Daddy performs well when applied after a wash with a quality soap/gel, some careful grooming, a great outfit and the self-assured, comfortable-in-my-own-skin confidence to go with it.

‘Easy to wear and packing both sex appeal and class, this is one of my favourite from the house of ATH’
